Labston - I often see in the SERP that a lot of bloggers who put in rich snippets in origin, without the data and facts are true, not adapted to the real situation, often known as "Rich Snippets Spam".
According to Google's Quality Guidelines, this is one thing that should be avoided, the following points prohibitive (in bold):
Avoid the following techniques:
- Automatically generated content
- Participating in link schemes
- cloaking
- sneaky redirects
- Hidden text or links
- doorway pages
- Scraped content
- Participating in affiliate programs without adding sufficient value
- Loading pages with irrelevant keywords
- Creating pages with malicious behavior, Reviews such as phishing or installing viruses, trojans, or other badware
- Abusing rich snippets markup
- Sending automated queries to Google
For now, it may still not be dealt with firmly, but in times to come for sure Google will punish this kind of blog. Same thing we put a time bomb to destroy our own blog. There is a special page for this report violations.
The most troubling is that if we put this in rich snippets directly in the post and not through the template, for example there are 2000 posts that violate the rules then we have to change it one by one, could curly our fingers.
The easiest fix this course if through the blog template, we just simply eliminate rich snippet of the template, and blogs we have complied with the Google Quality Guidelines, our blog is safe.
So be careful installing rich snippets in blogs, read carefully use / purpose / function of the formerly rich snippet, or one day we will get punished blog from Google.
